Welcome to Storm Point, Apex Legends' sun-soaked new map | PC Gamer - isomsmappood

Welcome to Storm Charge, Apex Legends' solarise-sloshed inexperient map

Live on calendar week, Acme Legends introduced us to next temper's bloody summer vacation with a trashy cinematic pok. Today, we got a comme il faut look at what Respawn has crowded for this wrong holiday—and where advisable to get down than with the tropical parvenue location itself?

Marking a year since Apex was hold out given a sunrise map with Olympus, Violent storm Point takes our murderbuds on a sun-soaked holiday to a sprawling island retreat. With locations ranging from bone-white beaches to wooded jungles, Storm Compass point looks both sprawling and towering, with hints at verticality healed beyond what we've currently seen.

IT's also national to a thriving ecosystem, indefinite that doesn't seem entirely happy to have its home inverted into a bloodsport arena. It looks like both wild Prowlers (the Titanfall universe's lizard-dog-things) and nasty spiders skulk in the undergrowth, ready to chow down on unprepared Legends. Luckily, Olympus' Trident hovercars are parked close to should you need to outrun any hungry beasties, and there are some terrifically Ring 3-inspired Gravity Cannons to assist punt you across the map.

The trailer also gave United States of America a better look at the CAR SMG, which has the particularly spicy boast of being healthy to take some heavy and light ammo. Considering how ammo-hungry contemporaries like the R99 and V are, being able to nobble ammo from some sources seems particularly thrifty.

At last, we get ahead a better look newborn hero Ash tree's abilities. The first is a tangled lead that, as teased, slows enemies piece lightly shocking them. But the other looks staggeringly naughty, a directional phase dash that can carry Ash a truly terrifying outstrip in any direction in mere seconds.

We'll get a chance to tan ourselves on Storm Point when Apex Legends: Escape launches next Tuesday, November 2.
